Forestry
GIS based predictive models have become an accepted method of conducting assessments on large-scale forestry operations in Alberta and British Columbia. Our models incorporate a wide range of data to determine the best archaeological potential of an area. If an area shows archaeological potential based on our models and experience, we carry out the field assessment as well as any related work. All our findings are submitted to the government for final approval.
Each project can have unique requirements. Plesae contact us if you have questions about conducting an archaeological assessment for your forestry project. For an explanation of the archaeological potential prediction process and an example of a large FMA predictive model, please visit our Predictive Model Featured Project page.
